Server and Workstation Health Monitoring

Boundary IT Services can remotely monitor the health of your Servers and Workstations. This monitoring includes:

  • Hardware monitoring using the manufacturers recommended application (ServerView / Insight Manager / OpenManage)
  • Core application monitoring including the Operating System and all core applications (MS Exchange / IIS / Print Spooler etc)

In the event of a hardware or software failure the monitoring applications will automatically alert us via SMTP email to our central monitoring station. Boundary IT Services will then inform you of the issue at hand, and if a support contract is in place we will take the appropriate action to rectify the issue. This includes connecting to the server to diagnose and remedy the issue, liaising with third party vendors to action hardware faults and replacements, and if required visiting your site to attend to the issue.

Support Contracts


With an annual support contract from Boundary IT Services you can ensure that you have support on hand to manage and maintain your systems, and effectively manage your IT support budget for the year.

We can tailor your support contract to suit your business needs, covering a single server or services all the way up to your entire IT infrastructure. Our standard support contract will cover:

  • Network Hardware
  • User Account & Mailbox Management
  • Internet Connectivity & Website Availability
  • Security Updates & Antivirus
  • Backup Management

By installing a small agent on each of your Servers & Workstations we can remotely connect in to your systems, to rectify any problems or simply to see your screen in real time and help you solve your issue. This agent creates a secure HTTPS tunnel for us to access your network, meaning there is no need to open any additional ports on your firewall.

If you prefer to “Pay As You Go” then Boundary IT Services are always on hand when you need us, and we will just charge you for the time spent on the issue.
